At Monte Maravilhas the combination of a pleasant atmosphere and the peaceful and green surroundings of the estate makes it a good location for a yoga week in Portugal. We invite you to get in touch with your body and mind through yoga and meditation.
The lessons during the yoga week take place inside as well as outside and are taught by Atul Mulji, an experienced teacher who has been active in the field of yoga and massage for over 30 years. The morning starts with breathing exercises. During the day more yoga exercises are conducted, followed by a dip in the refreshing saltwater swimming pool.

At Maravilhas we host a painting holiday where the surroundings are the biggest inspiration: the hills, fruit and cork trees, flowers, silence and cricket sounds. With individual guidance you learn to express yourself in a unique way via various drawing and painting techniques. The dutch William Emans, an experienced artist, teaches the painting week, which is suitable for beginners as well as advanced artists.
In September the temperature is between 22 – 28 degrees Celsius ( 71 – 82 degrees Fahrenheit). It is the time of year for figs and grapes.

The area of Monte Maravilhas offers plenty of excellent options for a hiking holiday in Portugal. The 8,5-hectare estate is located in the middle of the hilly Alentejo, Portugal. In the immediate vicinity there are diverse hiking trips across sandy and goat paths which travel alongside streams, orchards and mills and through authentic Portuguese villages and forests. A trip to the rugged Atlantic west coast is included in the programme.
