The area is ideally suited for hiking and enjoying nature. We have excellent route descriptions with detailed maps available. Most of the hikes are around Maravilhas, with one near Lake Santa Clara and one at the Atlantic westcoast. The detailed descriptions will provide a good weeks hiking and if you like cycling, two push bikes will cater for your needs.

Monte Maravilhas is situated 1 km outside the authentic Portuguese village of São Martinho das Amoreiras. The village has several shops, a post office and cafés. Each week there are markets in São Martinho or one of the surrounding villages.  From the village, you can make several day trips, e.g. to the old towns of Odemira and Ourique, the lively beach town Milfontes or through the mountains to the source of the Monchique.
