Welcome to Maravilhas! One of the last truly quiet areas in Europe
Monte Maravilhas is a 22 acres (8,5 ha) estate situated in the South of Portugal, near Lake Santa Clara in the foothills of the Monchique mountain range. "Maravilhas", Portuguese for "Miracles", is the original name of this special place.
The property features three houses that have been renovated with loving care.
On arrival you'll first see the joined houses Casa Amarela and Casa Mimosa. Another 300m into the estate is the third house, Casa Azul.
All houses enjoy spectacular views, provide plenty of privacy and have their own outside sitting areas with parasols and deck chairs. The swimming pool beautifully located in the valley, is available for all guests.
The estate is hilly and covered with many cork- and olive-trees. Terraces, made of natural stones, have plants and flowers. In the green valley are several water wells as well as an orchard with grapevines and fig, orange and olive trees. Through this valley fresh water runs in a little creek during the winter and spring months.
Monte Maravilhas is located about 500m away from the main road, making it an ideal spot for a peaceful holiday.
