Learning Portuguese in Portugal? The best way to do this is at a beautiful location in Portugal where you can also sit back and relax. Monte Maravilhas has it all.
The language and culture course 'Learn Portuguese in Portugal' focuses on practical language skills. You learn approximately 800 words and after six course days you can speak and understand simple sentences. We use a course book with an audio CD.
The lessons concentrate on a number of practical themes such as the post office, the grocer, the bus/train and the pharmacy. You will also be able to greet someone, know what time it is and ask for directions. We also pay attention to the Portuguese culture, specifically music and certain basic etiquettes.
The lessons are taught by Sabine Sorber, who has been teaching Portuguese language and culture to adults since 1994. As an independent teacher she has worked for various language institutions in The Netherlands and wrote the booklet 'Portuguese during the UEFA European Football Championship' for the LOI (Dutch teaching institution).
Practical information
The language course 'Learn Portuguese in Portugal' consists of one week which includes a stay at the Monte Maravilhas estate. The holiday also includes breakfast, lunch and vegetarian meals.
